Vermilion Birds dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to BNK Sum 's 30. They outrebounded BNK Sum 46-18 including a 32-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vermilion Birds looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by BNK Sum 's players. Power forward Mingling Chen (192-2000) fired 17 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Sijing Huang (192-1996) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Romanian-South Korean Sonia Kim-Ursu (175-1993) produced 21 points and forward Sohee Lee (171-2000) added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
